Egg yolk is densely packed with nutrition. It is rich in essential proteins such as biotin , folate , vitamin A and D.

If you have ever seen someone with shiny, glossy and smooth hair locks and wondered how you can also get those but never knew how , then you are at the right place. Researchers have repeatedly shown that one thing that improves your hair’s texture , strengthens them , prevents hair loss , stimulates hair growth and adds shine to your hair is – EGG YOLK .

Yes, you got it right – an egg’s yolk. Surprising enough?

How can an egg make your hair healthier?

How to apply it?

How will it’s smell go away after washing it off?

I am pretty sure all these questions would have struck your mind right now.  Worry not, this article answers all your questions step by step.

SO LET’S GET STARTED

An egg yolk contains the same nutrients that are present in healthy, beautiful hair. Various biological studies have confirmed this fact. Hence it goes quite naturally that we can help our hair better by applying it. But for some of you who are thinking that why on earth do we apply natural things on our hair when we have so many hair care products available in the market. I will be answering this question in two parts. In the first part I would answer if our hair really needs care and if at all it does then why and then in the second part I would talk about the much debated topic of should we use only natural products on our hair, only chemical based products available in the market or something else.

PART 1

DOES OUR HAIR REALLY NEED PROPER CARE AND WHY?

Nowadays, we see a lot of people caring excessively about their skin, body and lifestyle. They judiciously follow skin care regimes, proper body cleanliness habits and a healthy diet combined with a 5 day a week exercise routine. But quite often many neglect their hair. But guys how can you forget hair is like your crown? It’s one of the most precious gift given to you and you can’t let it damage.

We often hear things like – “hair care consumes a lot of time ‘’, or “hair care products are quite expensive and out of our budget’’. Some also say that applying different products on hair eventually lead to even more hair loss instead of making them better. Hence what’s even the point to care about them?

Guys the answer to this is – OUR HAIR, JUST LIKE ANY OTHER CORNER OF OUR BODY, NEEDS PROPER CARE AND THAT TOO IN A PROPER AND RIGHT MANNER .

Few of the best trichologists (hair and scalp specialists) of the world have confirmed that a proper hair care routine is essential for your hair to look better and remain healthy for many more years to come.

Now let’s ponder on why our hair needs care.

Our hair is exposed to many harmful things everyday which have proven to be a root cause of hair problems. But in our busy lives we ignore our hair care routines and overtime the effects of these harmful things on our hair tends to increase exponentially leading to total hair damage. So what are these harmful things?

  •         SUN – Sunlight emits many harmful UV rays which can damage your hair and make it look dull, lifeless and frizzy.
  •         CHEMICALS – Chlorine present in the swimming pools can cause our hair to become dry and chemicals present in hair products like shampoos, conditioners, masks and serums can cause hair fall and damage over the long run if used excessively.
  •         HAIR TREATMENTS –Nowadays hair smoothening, rebonding, keratin, streaking, colouring, highlighting, etc. are very common among the youth and even the older generation. These treatments are very hard on your hair. Although they make your hair look better on the outside but with time can lead to excessive hair breakage.
  •         EXCESSIVE HAIR STYLING – Using curling irons, hair dryers, pressing machines and other such styling equipments once every 2 months is not a big deal. But excessive usage of these equipments on a regular basis might make your hair lose out on its natural shine.

Because of all this, our hair keeps on getting unhealthy overtime. Hence ,  it is very important to follow a regular hair care routine to protect them so that even your grandchildren see you with pretty , healthy and beautiful hair locks . (Even if they are gray !!)

PART 2 – NATURAL THINGS   VS. CHEMICAL BASED PRODUCTS

Many might tell you that there is no need to apply natural things on your hair to make them look lovely . Only good, branded products in the market can make them look the way you want them too . But this is not true . I am not telling you to completely throw away the chemicals from your shelves and switch too natural remedies but what I am telling you is to maintain a balance . Go easy on the shampoos and use a DIY egg mask before you go in for the wash .
